This tutorial will address the most important issues concerning the production of electricity from coils and magnets. With the Home Brewer in mind, we will teach with the "NO brains" scientist in mind. There are many web site that demonstrate how to build generators and we have found that many of these sites are lacking when it come to understanding how coils and magnets need to relate to each other for maximum output of energy for the amount of torque used to turn the generator. By having a good understanding of the relationship your coils need to have with your magnets, your time can be better spent on design that will give better results. This will also give you an ability to understand what wrong when your results are not what you expected.

Many of us don't have a doctorate in mathematics. This doesn't mean that you can't be a scientist. This doesn't mean you can't invent things that can be life changing. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well that's true. That a great help when a lot of those words would be big scientific terms that most of us wouldn't be able to understand.
