Formulas for resonant frequency are used everyday for oscillating and tuning circuits. A resonant frequency can be used to block or permit the passing of other frequencies. They are also used to create oscillators. With the formulas below you can work out the values of your electrical components to get the desired frequency.

Below are the formulas for resonant frequencies of an L(inductor) C(Capacitor) circuit. Inductors(coils) and Capacitors are used to make resonant circuits which are used for oscillators, tuning circuits and many other uses in electronics.
